UK Club of the Year Award for Spirit

Spirit Health Club at the Holiday Inn Haydock has been recognised as the UK Club of the Year (over 1,000 members category) at the prestigious Fitness Industry Association FLAME awards. The award was presented at a Gala Diner at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Shane Noden, Club Manager as the Spirit Health Club said We are truly delighted to receive this award which reflects both the level of support and customer service we provide for our members and also our engagement with local charities within the community. Every team member played their part to make this happen and it's through having a clear and focused goal that we have made this success possible. Most gratifying of all was the exceptionally positive feedback provided by our members and guests during the judgement process there is no better endorsement that we are doing the right thing by our customers.
The Fitness Industry Association award for club of the year recognises Fitness Leadership and Management Excellence (FLAME). All applicants underwent a rigorous three-stage entry process to compete for the title, which involved a comprehensive entry form, a member satisfaction feedback survey, a site visit by industry figureheads and interviews with team members at the club.

Spirit Health Clubs at Bristol and Taunton were also short listed to the final three in the category for clubs with under 1,000 members. The chain of Spirit Health Clubs was short listed in the category for the Operator of the Year™ Award in recognition of their outstanding investment in their people and for operational excellence.
In addition Ross Cowie, Spirit Training Manager UK & Ireland, was short listed for a category that recognises individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication to the industry.
